The name Noordam is Dutch for "North Dam," a reference to Amsterdam''s northern harbor area — appropriate for a line that has maintained Dutch heritage as a brand identifier through multiple ownership changes. The piano bar at Crow''s Nest plays into the same idea: an elevated observation lounge at the bow with forward-facing views, designed as a social and contemplative space for guests who want something quieter than the pool deck.
European itineraries have been the primary deployment focus for Noordam. Baltic sailings (Copenhagen, Helsinki, Tallinn, Stockholm) use the ship''s size to access ports where larger vessels have more difficulty.
