Frequently asked questions

The plain answers to what people ask before booking a cruise through us — how booking works, what happens to your payment, who you would be dealing with, and how to reach a person.

Booking with us

Can I book a cruise through Vidalumi?

Yes. Send a booking request from the sailing you want and a travel specialist replies within one business day, confirms the details with you, and places the booking with the cruise line.

We can only take booking requests from travelers in the United States. Your payment goes to the cruise line, which charges it, not to Vidalumi. When online card payment is available, your card goes directly to the cruise line from our secure payment page (pay.vidalumi.com); otherwise, you pay the cruise line as it directs, by the dates it sets. A Vidalumi specialist can help, but paying on time is your responsibility. Either way, Vidalumi never stores your card number. Nothing is a confirmed reservation until a specialist has placed it and the line has confirmed it.

Is my reservation with Vidalumi, or with the cruise line?

With the cruise line. Once your specialist places the booking, the cruise line issues its own confirmation number, and that is the reservation you manage from then on — the cruise line runs the ship, and its terms govern your sailing from the moment it is confirmed.

The cruise line is the seller of record: it sells you the cruise, charges you for it and provides it. Vidalumi is your travel agency and acts as your agent: we book it for you here on vidalumi.com, place it with the cruise line, and stay reachable afterward. The cruise line pays us a commission.

Paying

Where does my card number go when I pay?

When online card payment is available, your card goes directly to the cruise line from our secure payment page (pay.vidalumi.com); otherwise, you pay the cruise line as it directs, by the dates it sets. Who we are

Who operates Vidalumi?

Vidalumi is operated by Vidalumi, LLC, a Florida limited liability company. It is one brand serving every cruise traveler — there is no separate site for budget or for luxury, and the filters do the adapting instead.

Is Vidalumi a registered travel business?

Yes. Vidalumi, LLC is registered with the State of Florida as a Seller of Travel (Fla. Seller of Travel Reg. No. ST150104) and with the State of California as a Seller of Travel (CA Seller of Travel Reg. No. 2173859). Registration as a seller of travel does not constitute approval by the State of California.

Vidalumi, LLC is also a CLIA Member Agency (Cruise Lines International Association), agency membership 00863560.

What is Vidalumi not?

It is not the cruise line. We do not operate ships, employ crew, set onboard policy or control what happens once you sail — those are matters between you and the line.

It is not a price guarantee, and it is not a substitute for the cruise line’s own terms, which govern your booking from the moment it is placed.

Changes and cancellations

What if I need to change or cancel after booking?

Contact your travel specialist — email is fastest. Changes and cancellations are governed by the cruise line’s own fare rules for your sailing, so your specialist will tell you what applies to your booking and help you make the change directly with the cruise line.

Contact

How do I reach a person?

Call (866) 696-4216 or email info@vidalumi.com. A booking request sent from a sailing page reaches the same people, with the sailing already attached, which is usually faster.
