Who operates Vidalumi?

Vidalumi is operated by Vidalumi, LLC, a Florida limited liability company. It is one brand serving every cruise traveler — there is no separate site for budget or for luxury, and the filters do the adapting instead.

Does it cost anything to use?

No. Searching, comparing, price alerts, port guides, ship pages and the packing list are free, and there is no paid tier.

Vidalumi earns a commission from the cruise line when a booking is placed through us. Packing lists carry Amazon affiliate links: As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Links cost you nothing extra.

Can I book a cruise through Vidalumi?

Yes. Send a booking request from the sailing you want and a travel specialist replies within one business day, confirms the details with you, and places the booking with the cruise line.

We can only take booking requests from travelers in the United States. We do not take a card on the site — payment is made to the cruise line, and nothing is a confirmed reservation until a specialist has placed it and the line has confirmed it.

Where do the prices come from, and how current are they?

From the cruise lines themselves, captured on a refresh that runs at least once a day. Every price shown is a snapshot of that capture — not a quote, not an offer, and not a guarantee.

Cruise fares move between refreshes. The price you pay is the one the cruise line is showing at the moment the booking is placed, which is sometimes higher and sometimes lower than the number we last captured.

Who writes the port guides?

We do. They are written pages, not descriptions assembled from a template, and they cover the practical parts of a port day: how far the town is from the terminal, what gets you there, what is worth eating, what to skip.

They are editorial, which means they can go out of date and they can be wrong. Every port page has a link to tell us so, and we would rather hear it than not.

What is Vidalumi not?

It is not the cruise line. We do not operate ships, employ crew, set onboard policy or control what happens once you sail — those are matters between you and the line.

It is not a price guarantee, and it is not a substitute for the cruise line’s own terms, which govern your booking from the moment it is placed.
