Your packing list, built from your sailing
Every generic cruise packing list is written for a seven-night Caribbean sailing in July. If you are going to Alaska in May, or sailing with a two-year-old, or on a line that still holds two formal nights, that list is wrong in ways you find out once you are on board.
Open one of your sailings and the list is already there — checkable, printable, and built from what we know about that specific trip.
What the list takes into account
Where you are going
Read from your itinerary, not from a dropdown. Alaska and Northern Europe add layers and waterproofs; the Caribbean, Hawaii and Bermuda add beach and pool items. A private-island day adds them even on an itinerary that otherwise would not.
How long you are away
The number of nights sets the quantities, so you are not packing for fourteen days on a five-night sailing.
Your ship’s dress code
Some lines still hold multiple formal evenings; others are resort casual from embarkation to disembarkation. The list follows the line you are actually sailing.
Documents that are easy to forget
Passport, visas, proof of vaccination where it applies, and the paperwork that only matters at the pier — separated out so it does not get lost among the swimwear.
How it is organised
Sections appear only when they apply to your sailing — no cold-weather section on a Caribbean week, no beach section on a Baltic one.
